Founded by the late Alan Burbage on a simple idea
GKPP was first imagined in 1975 by Alan Burbage, with a clear and enduring belief:
That clients deserve thoughtful advice, personal attention and long-term support — not just technical compliance.
From the beginning, the firm was built around relationships.
Alan believed that by truly understanding a client’s circumstances and ambitions, better decisions could be made and stronger outcomes achieved.
Unfortunately Alan didn't live to see the outcome of his vision as he tragically passed away in 1986.
His philosophy continues to guide the firm today.
In 2003, the firm was acquired by Atul Sharma, who shared the same values while recognising the need to evolve alongside clients and an increasingly complex financial landscape. Under his leadership, GKPP expanded its advisory capabilities, strengthening its expertise across tax planning, audit and assurance, wealth management and strategic business advice.
Today, GKPP has been proudly serving the West London area for over 50 years, with additional offices in Mayfair and Birmingham, supporting clients across the UK and abroad. While the firm has grown and evolved, our commitment to personal service and long-standing client relationships remains unchanged.
